Our Journey - a scenic drive

Driving through America has enabled me to see the change in the climate, terrain, geography and weather. I have here some taken along the way and compiled to give you a comprehensive montage of what you can see.

Travel Log

Above is the map indicating our journey so far. The red line is actually Interstate 10 that we were on most of the time, whereas the green circles were where we stayed for the night. We have been driving for 5 days stopping every night to rest. By this time, I was feeling a little "tired" of driving. I would become impatient when the GPS announced that there was another 20 miles when we have already traveled the entire day while my body would yearned for the hotel bed.

Day One

We drove for more than 12 hours setting off from our house at 7am, arriving at New Orleans airport to fetch a friend at about 7pm. We were famished by then. After settling our hotel, we headed out to the French Quarters to look for a meal and found ourselves in the midst of the notorious Bourbon Street. However the streets look pretty decent to me. I was just surprised to see the sheer size of the adults shops here.

Anyway I left my USB wire in the car so I could not download any photo from my camera. Fortunately Kat took some photos along the way with her razor. She was able to bluetooth them into her MAC, and subsequently transfer one via Skype to me. Thanks to technology. Now I am able to gratify my vanity to at least post something here. Well you will get to see more tomorrow. Our destination is Houston Space Centre.
